It was Gunner the Tasmanian Devil's turn for a trip to the Taronga Wildlife Hospital when his keepers noticed he wasn't quite his normal self.
Vets gave him a thorough check up and despite being an elderly animal determined he was in good health.
As well as caring for the 4,00 animals that call the zoo home, the Taronga Wildlife Hospital also provides specialist care to an array of native Australian wildlife, including the Tasmanian Devil. This knowledge learnt caring for animals like Gunner ensures his species has the best chance for survival in the wild.
