This is probably one of my best stars I've ever TASed in SM64DS.
By loading the Y run at the beginning, I was able to do a very high double jump, and running fast when landing, which made me able to do the 1st longjump very fast too. When doing the triple jump, i put Mario in the best position to go to talk to the Whomp. I am also able to just run to talk to him, since I still have some Y run still stocked, which is a lot faster than doing a long jump. The battle was hell to optimize, since I had to hit the Whomp as soon as he lands on the ground, which takes a lot of time. A little bit of improvement was also added, but not that much because i needed to load the Y run everytime after he stands up.

This can happen when you have low health (1 or 2), and the character will be in a weird state where hell continuously run and stand still. This somehow makes Mario say HAHA indefinitely when he has Y run when doing this. Weird ¯_(ツ)_/¯")

This star was previously done in 7 B Presses by using Ballon Mario and wallkicks to get the star. Previously, we were able to get to the switch platform in 0x. But now, with Luigi, I had to press B. We cannot get to the switch platform with the slope.
But its irrelevant because after hitting the switch, I can get to the other side in 1x instead of 2x with Mario. After that, all what I do is going up the slope with slidekicks and recovers.
After getting on the platform I want, I simply do a backflip (and hold B or i fall) and get the switch star directly, without the need to get up more. It is getting ridiculous.

You can do a way easier method than mine but it takes years to do, it is going all around and fall to take 1 or 2 red coins by every fall (example : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaqAFM-XuzE&list=PL0TeYaSr_hNcIq19A7eXKgbvNwQIf 8s&index=116)
I decided to figure out a neat strat to do that star.
You can play the video in slow motion if you want to see better what I do.
I needed to get the fastest clock time to be able to stay on the platforms after groundpounds, but also to not lost too much speed while going up slopes.
Also, its possible to take all the coins with timestop in 0 B Presses if you are up the cage, but to get up the cage you must not enter TTC as timestop.
What I do :
I do a dive recover and ledge grab the little yellow block. From here I load Y run and wait for the platform to be completely flat.
Im doing a slidekick recover here, it was not useful but I was trying to do the backwards crouch method (which is a lot harder and less accurate) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaqAFM-XuzE&t=92s) so then I gave up and managed out by myself a new method which consists to run up and land on the edge while not sliding off it.
After that I wait for the edge to be the at the highest point possible and fall and groundpound. The higher platform takes me with it. After that it couldnt even be possible to do the crouch backwards method, so i just started walking and doing the same trick as before.
Here comes the tough part : I need to run on the edge to build up speed but I must not fall. After building up enough speed, I can dive to take the 4th red coin and fall at the angle I want.
Slidekicking here wouldnt set me high enough to take the 4th red coin. Plus, while slidekicking, your motion angle is the same as the model angle, which couldnt make me land where I want.
After diving, i need to recover and fall at a very precise place : on the edge of the platform where there is the 5th coin, because i need to take it and it is the only possible way to take it without pressing B.
After that, I waited to be high enough to be able to take the 6th red coing while diving. I did a dive that made me stuck between 2 platforms, which then results into a bonk since I slide off the high platform. And with that bonk I can collect the lasts red coins. I could probably have done a recover to do it, but I wasnt minding about that and just started recording the video. I accidentaly didnt make the best quality for this video, but it still looks very good I guess.

Despite ending the timer late, this is still a 1:16:00. There are a few dumb deaths that I could have avoided, but I also plan on doing riskier strats, and maybe going for LLL 100 instead of Quick Race in WDW. My goal is 1:14 for now.

In this video, I collect the star Metal-Head Wario Can Move in Hazy Maze Cave in 0x B Presses.
Previously, this star was done in 0.5x B Presses (on 1.1/PAL) by doing a method involving the scuttlebug respawn glitch, and in 1x B Press (on 1.0) by backflipping as Luigi to get to the star platform.
The reason why I pointed out BOTH VERSIONS in the title is because this star previously had 2 different strats to get on both 1.0 and 1.1/PAL, and now the strat can be done on both versions.
Side note : The reason why I took Luigi is to swim faster for the second time i need to swim, and it does save quite a lot of time.
So here is the detailed explanation of what I do in this video :
First, I take the Wario cap and go all the way to the Nessie room. From there, I get the Wario power flower which turns him into Metal Wario, to then go to step over the switch to open the gate.
After that, I make my way to the huge room with the red coins. Then I perform a glitch that requires the black brick and that allows me to go out of bounds, and I carefully land on the seam. I move on the seam for a few seconds to then fall and open the door from the room with the star to enter the Nessie room. Why is that important ? Well, thats because to save space in the memory and prevent lag, the developers made a room loading system so that only the room where you are in is loaded. But if you go to another room without going through a door, the room will stay unloaded, which means that there are only floors, walls and doors. There is not any object loaded when a room is unloaded, and this includes stars. Due to the camera not showing much, you cant see that the room with the star is completely dark, but it is.
So when I go into the room with the star, I perform the Permanently Loaded Room Glitch : if you exit a room that was unloaded, it will load and stay loaded until you enter it and exit it again. That means I can safely go back to the red coins room, and the room with the star will still be loaded, therefore the star too.
For the last step, I come back to the red coin room with the black brick ang go out of bounds again. This time, I go to the left since its a faster way to go and fall down to get the star.

This star was previously done in 1x B Presses by doing a Luigi backflip over a sign.
In 1.0, I took Mario instead of Luigi. Why ? Because, on 1.1, the strat needed Luigi since his speed increasing rate is higher than any other character, and it was needed to do a big jump + kick over the scuttlebug. Here, since the strat is different (i cant kick while bouncing, and i need to do 1 more ledge grab which takes time), I took Mario because his speeds are the greatest (excepted swimming) and so that he is faster and can cross over the gap earlier.
After trying to do HMC Switch Star in 0.5x on 1.1, i realized that i didnt have much time left to go the star. Though, I didnt use the 2nd scuttlebug.
By raising the 2nd scuttlebug at the bottom of the 2nd stair, I was able to save much time instead of going on the sign. Unfortunarely, since im on 1.0, I cant do a kick while bouncing since im in a recover animation. When being able to move, I use touchscreen to do a 0 speed Y run to move really fast, and do a VERY precise slidekick into the glitchy part of the wall, allowing me to not slide off the wall.
By doing that, I slidekick early, and I keep the Y run. When being able to move again, I run really fast, I do a 0 speed Y run when almost against the wall, and do the slowest slidekick possible with Y run. Unfortunately, Im not able to run fast anymore after that. The Y run timer went to 0. By doing the diagonal slidekick, and by having a very precise angle, Im able to do a fast bounce to the right, so I gain much position by ledge-grabbing that far from the scuttlebug.
Then, I need to do a slidekick recover to be faster, but also to land and get a speed of 0 as fast as possible, to charge Y run as fast as possible. Since Marios Y run speed is really fast, Im able to cross over the gap as soon as I get Y run. One more kick to get the star, and its done !

Another single star TAS that will be implemented in the 150 stars TAS. It takes 1.5s to put on Marios cap but he is so much faster than Yoshi on the whole movement that he ends up being faster. In fact, Yoshi cant punch so he cant go fast on the slopes, and he would also have very limited movement inside the cave.
The jump I do before entering the cave is a slope jump which means I will instantly be able to move when I land, but the jump is slower to perform than a normal ground jump. The instant dive recover on the switch inside the cave is actually very precise.")
