Another PaRappa the Rapper 2 TAS! Well, not exactly a speedrun per se, but it *is* tool assisted.
Ever wonder what's the most amount of points possible in PaRappa 2's bonus game?
Basically, the game drops you into a bonus game each time you clear the 2nd, 4th, and 6th stage in a circuit. The bonus game can be extended by the number of smilies you have during Boxy Boy's practice stage (or the "Rodney Level"). Hitting a "ready" kotamanegi will grant you points, while hitting them while they're searching in a box will make you lose points. The faster your reaction time, the more points you earn. The game picks up the pace the more targets you break without hitting a kotamanegi, and peaks after 100 targets. Kotamanegis are invulnerable for a short time after being hit while they're ready.
You earn around 26 points if you hit a target within 1-3 frames (50ms),
15 points within 3-6 frames (100ms),
9 points within 6-9 frames (150ms),
and 5 points after 10 frames and later.
Do you really think the game designers thought humans can react that fast? I don't think so.
In this demonstration, inputs are made to hit kotamanegis as soon as they are ready, allowing for the most amount of points to be achieved, which is 5083 points.
197 objects were kicked, punched, and chopped. No onion children were harmed, thankfully.
