This is a Tool-Assisted Superplay/Speedrun (often abbreviated to "TAS") where a player can edit, rerecord, and manipulate a game into doing whatever that person desires. Visit tasvideos.org for more information.

Optimal gameplay for each player is fairly simple. For each of the team of three, mashing as fast as possible is fastest, but because movement is very acceleration-based, mashing even half as fast as possible loses just one second. For the solo player, up and down don't affect speed, but moving to the right side as much as possible saves some time. Once the solo player is as far as they can go horizontally, holding right isn't necessary, and all that's needed is dodging.

If players can mash fast enough, the team of three wins, but if they're a fair bit slower and the solo player isn't colliding into obstacles, the solo player can win.
