Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Mach Breakers: Numan Athletics 2 (7 Endings montage)
I started with the 1 player TAS of this game. (youtu.be/4BPC48GxgJE)
It took me about 2 hours to adjust the TAS for each character since I didn't have to fully optimize the TAS, I just had to beat the 2nd player.

Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Numan Athletics Arcade (4 players)
What is a TAS? https://www.youtube.com/c/Prog61/about
Notes:
-The game awards players 6,3,1,0 points for each event, but if two players finish in 1st place, the points will be 6,6,1,0 or if two players finish in second place, players will get 6, 3,3,0.
If 3 players finish in 1st place, they will get 6,6,6,0, if all 4 players finish in 1st place, the game will award 6,6,6,6 points
But if 2 or more players finish 1st at the end, the game will choose only one as the winner, see my other video: https://youtu.be/f98Omd5-VmU , but I dont know how the game chooses which player wins .
Turbo Dash
-It seem that the best speed is reached only if you do not tap faster than 3 frames by button. (20 bps)
-The pattern I use is: 111333111333... anything faster or slower result in a slower time.
-I use exactly the same pattern for the 4 players. It seems that it is not possible for 2 players to finish with the same time.
Interceptor
-Since the delay between enemy shots is random, the score difference is random.
Missile Toss
-Contrary to Turbo Dash, maximum speed is reached by tapping 1 and 3 as fast as possible. The TAS alternate button 1 and 3 one frame down, one frame up (60bps)
-The optimal angle is reached by holding button 2 for 19 frames
-It seems the 4th player is not able to throw as far as the other 3, maybe I should have tried the second time.
Vs. Express
-The game seem to not let you get over 99.60m
-To get the maximum, you have to continue tapping even if the power meter is at the maximum. The TAS tap at 60bps
Tower Topper
-Each jump is made to the last possible frame
-With all 3 at the same score, Sharon is the winner again
-I dont know why Harry was slower, should I have tried the second try?
Nonstop Rock Chop
-Falling rocks have a slight, probably random delay (you can see this with a freeze frame).
-The TAS takes its time so that everyone gets the same score at the end. (It is possible to go faster, Sharon made 43 in my other video: https://youtu.be/lz6hQbj27Hw)
-Since all 4 players finished with the same score, the winner seems to be randomly determined at the end, or does the game reward the lowest score? Once the clock has stopped, they all break another rock and points are awarded based on that last break (6,3,1,0). If you watch frame by frame the rock exploding, you can clearly see that the order was: Bongo, Harry, Masaemon, Sharon, but the game awarded the points to: Harry 6, Snaron 3, Bongo 1, Masaemon 0. I have no explanation for this.
Niagara Jumps
-Is there a Niagara in Zambia??? (But according to Google, there are Victoria Falls in Zambia, maybe its this one?)
-For the first jump you must not jump too late to keep your speed at 250km/h but the next 2 jumps must be done on the last possible frame before falling into the fall.
-On the first try, Masaemon made a shorter jump, but he did like the others on the second try, I dont know why because I copied the same pattern for each player.

![[TAS] Solar Fox (Arcade) 1,000,000 in 112 racks
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Solar Fox (Arcade) 1,000,000 in 112 racks
Goals:
-Reach 1,000,000 points
-Reach rack 100
-Find out how many different Challenge racks there are
-This is not really a speedrun — Im sure there are faster ways to clear the racks.
Notes:
-The game consists of 20 different racks (levels) that loop indefinitely
-To complete a rack, you need to pass over or shoot all the fuzors
-Racks 1 to 9: you need to pass over each fuzor once
-Racks 10 to 20: you need to pass over each fuzor twice
-If you clear a rack fast enough (see the timer at the top of the screen), you skip the next rack
-After every 4 racks, the game gives you a Challenge rack
-In a Challenge rack, you simply have to pass over (or shoot) all the fuzors before time runs out to earn a bonus
-Since the TAS skips a rack every two racks, a Challenge rack appears every 2 played racks
-There are 16 different Challenge racks
-After the 16th, the game loops back to the first Challenge rack (and the bonus points reset to 1,000)
-Each Challenge rack awards 600 more points than the previous one (starting at 1,000)
-Except for the 16th, which awards only 400 more points than the 15th (so the 16th gives 9,800 points, not 10,000) (15:41)
-You must complete a Challenge rack to get a different one next time — if you keep missing it, youll face the same one repeatedly
-You can view a map of all racks here: https://vgmaps.com/Atlas/Arcade/index.htm#SolarFox
-Note that this game run at 30 fps.
-At high speed, you only have a window of 3 or 4 frames to change direction to the lane you want; at slower speed, you have 8 frames
-The points awarded by the round thing appear to be random — in the TAS, waiting just 1 extra frame to collect it resulted in a different value.
-On rack 73, I waited a few frames to collect the 800-point bonus (17:52)
-When you shoot, the bullet travels for 9 frames, and you can fire every 11 frames
-A bullet can hit up to 4 fuzors if fired at the right moment — normally it hits 3
-For racks 10 to 20, shooting a fuzor eliminates it completely, with no need to pass over it at all
-The fastest way to clear fuzors (without shooting) on racks 10 to 20 is to back up for 1 frame after touching a fuzor
-This is what the TAS does constantly. Watch the video frame by frame and youll see the player jiggle at every corner
-You earn an extra life every 10 racks, but the game does not award one when you reach rack 100 (24:25)
-The game only displays 9 ships at the bottom of the screen, but it internally keeps track of the actual number of lives.
-However, its amusing to note that when you get the 10th wave bonus, the ship is placed where it should be if the game had displayed more than 9.
-Rack 71 (17:23) shows a bug I encountered frequently while making the TAS. Im not sure if it occurs in real gameplay.
-I pass over a fuzor once, but the graphic showing its second state never appears.
-Rack 111 (26:50) demonstrates that you wont beat the timer if you pass over all the fuzors once and then go back over them a second time (it would have worked if I had fired a few shots)
-Rack 112 (27:11): there is more than enough time to pass over all the fuzors twice
-The game fires at you from all 4 directions
-Stay too long on the same row or column and you will get hit.
-The TAS has no issue with this since it changes row or column continuously.
-You may notice that the collision hitbox between enemy bullets and the player appears to be quite small (13:01)

The goal of this TAS:
-Get the highest score possible
After seeing the finished video, I have spotted some place where I could do more points. I may eventually improve this score.
Notes:
-Difficulty: Medium Hard (factory setting)
-I try to shoot things in that order:
-The flowers give the most points but you have to run over them.
-Next are things that go ZAP! (500 points) (mostly humans)
-Windows, lamps, tombstone award progressive points if they are from the same house. (200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500 points)
-Jump (400 points)
-Others: trash can, doghouse (200 points)
-There is a limitation for how much newspaper can be in the air at the same time.
-This number is 9
-But, this number decrease by one each time you shoot a mailbox
-At the beginning of a day and for the training course, the number is reset to 9
-if you shoot 9 mailboxes, you cannot shoot anymore
-So, It is impossible to shoot the 10 mailboxes.
-I am not sure if it is a feature or a bug.
-So, you have to think of how many newspapers you want to be able to shoot at the same time.
-I think 4 or 5 is a good number be able to shoot consecutive windows
-So, the maximum mailbox you want to shoot is 4 or 5
-In the training course, you have to take a jump to replenish your stock of newspapers
-In the training course you can shoot targets that are far left, even if you cannot see the awarded score
-Hard way is coming soon

![[TAS] Time Pilot Arcade (3 of 5) 284500 in 5 minutes
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Time Pilot Arcade (3 of 5) 284500 in 5 minutes
The goal is to find out what is the best way to get the best score in 5 minutes.
This is known as Caravan mode in Arcade Archives TIME PILOT on PS4 and Switch
The stopwatch starts as soon as the player can shoot.
I tested 5 different strategies:
1- Stay on wave 1 while getting as many paratroopers as possible (5000 points), shooting formations but not shooting 56 planes so as not to see the boss
2- Stay on wave 1 shooting as many planes as possible. (optimized for combo)
3- Stay on wave 2 capturing as many paratroopers as possible (5000 points) and shooting mid size Bombers for 1500 points each
4- Shoot anything as fast as possible
5- Stay on wave 3 shooting as many helicopters as possible, taking advantage of the missiles to score many combos (optimized for combo)
Notes:
-All bosses give you 1200 points for killing him by shooting or hitting him. This is given when he explodes, then you get another 3000 points.
-Scoring combo:
-When you shoot something (planes, bomb, missiles, boss) you get 100 points.
-But if you shoot a second thing before 1/2 second elapses you will get 200 points
-And so on, the score increases with each hits as long as the new hit is within 1/2 second from the previous one: 300,400,500,600,700,800
-The maximum points is 800, the next hit (9th) (always within 1/2 second), points will reset to 100
-If you shoot 8 planes in 4 seconds, you will get 3600 points not 800
-When you shoot a mid size bomber on wave 2 (1500 points) it take 4 shots, if each shots are within 1/2 second of the previous one, you will get 100+200+300+400 = 1000 points + 1500 points
-All bosses take 8 shots to kill, so you get 3600 points for the 8 hits, plus 1200 points for killing a boss, plus 3000 points more for a total of 7800 possible points for each boss.
-In video 2 and 5 I do not shoot as fast as possible, I wait for some enemies to appear before shooting them quickly to maximize the scoring
-In video 4, I did not optimize it. The TAS should be able to score higher if it did not shoot as fast as possible. I should do another TAS to test that.
-I should try a TAS that stays on wave 4 and shoot as many planes as possible, I think they spawn faster than the helicopters, if so maybe I could get a higher score .
Conclusion:
-Getting only the paratroopers in wave 1 is much slower than expected. I did not predict that the score would be so low.
-Only shooting planes in wave 1 is not fast enough, the planes are too slow to spawn.
-Shooting helicopters in wave 3 seem like a good strategy. Their patterns are relatively easy to predict and learn, unlike the fighters in wave 4 and the saucers in wave 5.

Im sorry that I had to mute a song (Eat the Rich) due to copyright issue (from 4:29 to 5:52).
And I also had to mute the end (Walk This Way). (from 36:36)

Goals:
-Show all known secrets and collect all 5 wings (Aerosmith members) (not a speedrun)
-Avoid getting hit if possible
-Destroy as many things as I can
Notes:
-I use this FAQ to learn the game: http://www.aerosmithtemple.com/revolution-x-walkthrough
Analyzing the memory, I observed that:
Energy:
-The energy bar is at 150 units when it is full (6 per small rectangle), but you start the game with 187 units.
-Extra Energy gives you 50 units of energy
-After shooting the cat, I had 287 energy (I got 2 extra energy from the windows of Club X)
-At the start of the helicopter chase, I had 385 units of energy
-I started (and finished) the helicopter boss with 324 energy.
-I lost 37 units in Amazon Jungle, all with the last boss, finishing the level with 287.
-I finished the bus chase (Middle East) with 270.
-In Pacific Rim I lost 33 units in the hallway leading to Brad Whitford (24:20)
-With 8 more energy at the end of Pacific Rim I reached 600.
-I started the last boss with 594 but lost 245 to Helga.
-And I lost 46 to Mondor to finish the game with 303 energy.
CDs
-The game doesnt display more than 999 CDs on screen but internally the game keeps the exact count.
-I reached more than 2800 CDs before the boss of Pacific Rim.
-I sent 109 CDs to the boss helicopter, 45 to the bus, 384 to the boss of Pacific Rim
-At the start of the last boss I had 2370 CDs and I finished the game with 1814 CDs, so I shot 556 CDs to the last boss.
Shield
-Works exactly like the energy bar. When the shield energy is not 0 the shield energy goes down instead of the energy bar.
-The shield worth 30 energy.
-But it is not cumulative, the maximum value is 30. So if you already have a shield, wait a bit before getting a second one so as not to waste those 30 energy.
-Even if the message SHIELD UP does not appear when you change sections you do not lose it, ex: I had a shield outside of Club X and at the beginning of the helicopter stage the shield continues to be effective.
Super Gun
-When you get a Super Gun, you have 200 super shots.
-This value is not cumulative, maximum 200.
-A Super Gun shot is almost as effective as a CD. (I do not know exactly its strength)
Lazer Disks
-I could not test to see if it is cumulative or not but I believe it probably work like CDs.
-When an enemy shoots, you will only lose energy when your part of the screen is hit.
-Each player has 1/3 of the screen, you can ignore shots on the other 2/3 of the screen.
-So when playing this game, focus on your part of the screen first.
-There are a few exceptions to this rule. Helga, the helicopter and the elevators (24:23) hit you wherever they shoot.
-At the end of Pacific Rim I got 8 extra energy, but I had to use RNG manipulation for 2 of them (3rd and 4th red objects on a bench) (27:15).
-From what I can see in other videos, shooting a company logo almost always gives you extra energy.
-Now that I see the video, I see I missed a few points here and there and a Club X girl (4:00) (I should have worked harder on that one).
-I tried to fix them, but you cant edit a TAS in the middle, it changes the RNG, and then nothing after the edit point works properly.
-To get the TROG (0:41), you have to kill the cat (9 hits) and then shoot a CD at the tree you can see over the wall.
-I dont know if the secret to the helicopter chase (7:15) is there if you didnt kill the TROG.
-To get the secret in the window outside Club X (1:54), you must have killed the cat and not shot that window earlier.
-In this secret, you must shoot a CD at the door to go to the bathroom.
-It seems that if you dont shoot the star on the door at the end of Club X, enemies will spawn endlessly (4:47)
-On the bus level, I had to stop shooting because the bus exploded before I could get the 4th wings (21:50).
-For some reason, Helga cost me 35 units of energy each time she hit me (7 times) (32:09). I havent seen her do this much damage in other YouTube videos.
-You have to shoot her when she cartwheels in front of the throne.
-At least Mondor (the last boss) (32:32) is easy to kill, but very long to TAS.
-His machine guns only deal damage to the player whose part of the screen is hit and it is easy to make him lose his weapon (3-4 CD on the arm).
-It took me about 50 hours of work to make this video. I hope you like it. Thanks for watching.

Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Loco-Motion Arcade (Easiest way) 30 rounds 224,110
Notes:
-You can move a block every 4 frames, so you can move 15 blocks per second.
-For this TAS, the Speed button is always pressed except on one or two occasions when I had to slow down a bit.
-Number of Crazy Trains by rounds:
-Round 1 and 2 = 0 Crazy Trains
-Round 3 to 6 = 1 Crazy Trains
-Round 7 to 10 = 2 Crazy Trains
-From round 11, there are 3 Crazy Trains, which is as far as I know the maximum of Crazy Trains at the beginning of a round.
-When I started TASing this game, I played the game perfectly. Around round 14, I was wondering why this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrUb6aAfdIk had a much more difficult layout per round than my TAS. He had many unusable blocks with 4 Xs and I had none.
After analyzing both, I concluded that the game is harder to play when youre not perfect. The difficulty of a round seems to increase if you lose stations.
I had to test this theory. I did a second TAS where I would lose a lot of stations to see the result. And the result is more spectacular than I expected.

Tool-Assisted Speedrun (TAS) of Bomberman / Dynablaster / Atomic Punk Arcade 4 players in 12:22
Time starts upon gaining control of Bomberman in the round 1-1 at 0:31
Time ends when you lose control of Bomberman after killing the last boss at 13:21
Minus the round 5-6 bug demo from 10:15 to 10:43 (28 seconds)
Total: 12:50 - 0:28 = 12:22
Notes:
-Power-ups do not carry over between stages
-Bombs explode 150 frames (2.5 seconds) after being dropped.
-Bomb explosion lasts 28 frames. A wall takes 42 frames to disappear.
-As soon as a bomb explodes, on the first frame of the explosion animation, you can drop a new bomb.
-If you drop a bomb on an explosion, the bomb will explode instantly.
-If you are invincible, you can chain exploding bombs. So you can make a path of explosive bombs as long as you are invincible
-But you cant walk through walls this way because the wall doesnt disappear as long as there is an explosion nearby (42 frames). If a bomb explodes near a wall that is in its vanishing animation, it will restart the vanishing wall animation at the first frame. So if you stay near a wall and constantly detonate bombs, the wall will never disappear.
-When a round starts, you have 300 frames of invincibility. You can use this time to take out as many walls and enemies as possible by chaining exploding bombs.
-The invincibility power up last 500 frames.
-On the boss round 5-6 (and 6-6) it is possible to make an enemy come out of the screen.
-I demonstrate it at 10:17 (and you can see that the last boss can do it too (12:37))
-Bosses need at least 4 consecutive tiles in one direction to move back and forth between 2 bombs (or a bomb and a wall) (10:04)
-If not, the boss may take an illegal direction and go through a wall.
-If the boss goes through a wall and respawns somewhere else, he is no longer on the same playing field as the players. There is no longer a collision between the boss and the players and the players bombs.
-In this case you cannot complete the boss and you will have to wait for the timer to reach 0. Except for boss 6-6 because after a while the boss will warp somewhere in the playing field.
-Now that Ive seen the finished video, I think I could do some of the early levels faster, now that I have more experience with the game.
-Im sure the Boss levels could be done faster by learning and exploiting their patterns.

-One trick is to do 2 laps for the qualification. If you cross the finish line after 67 seconds, you do another lap. This can only be done when you start with 120 seconds. This trick add 10000 points to your score.

![[TAS] Dominos Arcade
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Dominos Arcade
-This TAS is playing a 2 player game because the AI isnt bright enough to be fun to watch against a TAS.
-As you can see in the first round, if both players play a perfect game and fill all positions on the grid (30x24), the white player will win. This is because the players do not move at the same time. The black player advances first.
-If both players try to move to the same position, both players score a point.
-The game ends when a player reaches 4 victories. Can be changed to 3, 4, 5 or 6 by dip-switch.

![[TAS] Super Pac-Man 20 Stages in 7:23
Tool-assisted speed-run (TAS) of Super Pac-Man, 20 stages in 7:23
Score: 232,950
Difficulty: Rank 1-Easiest
The time (7:23) is from Coin inserted to last input: from 0:38 to 8:01 = 7:23
The goal of the TAS is to finish 20 Stages in less time possible.
No time was lost to get the bonus or to eat ghosts.
I will do another video where I always get 5000 for the bonus.
I think I got the fastest pattern possible, I did not see a video where the bonus stage was done with 12900 points.
If you know a faster pattern, let me know.
I may eventually do a video at the default setting.
