Tool-assisted speed-run (TAS) for Cameltry Arcade, Training course
Final Score: 188,890 Time: 1:22.3
On Twin Galaxies, the best score is 179,220 and the best time is 1:42.9
This is my first TAS for this game, the other courses will follow soon.
I do not think it is possible to go much faster than that without using glitches.
But I have to do tests with rebound to see if it is possible to go faster.
In level 4 I should have not lose time breaking blocks to increase the score, I will work on that.
Notes:
-No tricks or glitch was used for this TAS
-The jump button is held down all the way to go a bit faster.
Dip Switch Settings:
-Difficulty: Medium
-Starting Remaining Time: 50 seconds
-Continue Play Time: +30 seconds

![[TAS] Loco-Motion Arcade (Hardest way) 16 rounds
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Loco-Motion Arcade (Hardest way) 16 rounds
Notes:
-You can move a block every 4 frames, so you can move 15 blocks by seconds.
-Number of Crazy Trains by rounds:
-Round 1 and 2 = 0 Crazy Trains
-Round 3 to 6 = 1 Crazy Trains
-Round 7 to 10 = 2 Crazy Trains
-From round 11, there are 3 Crazy Trains, which is as far as I know the maximum of Crazy Trains at the beginning of a round.
-When I started TASing this game, I played the game perfectly. Around round 14, I was wondering why this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrUb6aAfdIk had a much more difficult layout per round than my TAS. He had many unusable blocks with 4 Xs and I had none.
After analyzing both, I concluded that the game is harder to play when youre not perfect. The difficulty of a round seems to increase if you lose stations.
I had to test this theory. I did this TAS where I would lose a lot of stations to see the result. And the result is more spectacular than I expected.
To view my first TAS: https://youtu.be/DAirajaPOqA
I wanted to lose all 8 stations in round 1.
There are 2 ways to lose a station:
-Have a collision between 2 trains in a station. Be aware that if the collision occurs on a track, you lose that track.
-Let the countdown displayed on a station reach zero. More often than not when the countdown reaches 0, a new Crazy Train appears, but you have a small chance of the train station exploding directly, as seen later in the game as the chances of exploding are higher later in the game.
The other thing to deal with is the Loop Sweeper that appears when you loop the track.
At first I thought I could just break the loop and he would let me loop for a while before reappearing. But if you make it appear once, after that, as soon as you close the loop he will reappear instantly.
So instead I just put it on another track, that way it let me loop around for a while.
But the interesting thing is that this Loop Sweeper has a timeout. When you send it out of your loop, if it doesnt collide with another train, it will bounce between the 2 ends of the portion of track it is on, but eventually, when its internal timer will reach zero, it will jump on your loop. The game gives you a warning sound before doing this. The same sound as when the Loop Sweeper appears normally.
For round 1, the timer is 3072 frames, 51.2 seconds.
For round 9, the timer is 416 frames, which means 6.93 seconds.
So it looks like the timer gets shorter as you progress through the game.
After losing all 8 stations in round 1, round 2 is much harder than usual.
To push the game to its limits, I decided to lose all 8 stations again on round 9.
As you can see at round 12 (21:22), you cant get a harder layout than that. This is the bare minimum to have a chance of completing the round. Good luck to a human doing that :)
My conclusion is that you are fairly certain to have 1 block with 4 Xs for each station you lost. From round 2 to 8 I had at least 8 unusable blocks per round.
But I think the game checks that you have a chance to finish the round and wont fill all the blocks with unusable blocks.
So this game is one of the rare game which is easier if you are good. If you can keep your stations, the game is less difficult to play.
With round 14 (23:03) we can also learn that its not a good idea to lose all the stations on the same side of the board when we have a limited choice of blocks like that.
I didnt plan this round correctly and died twice. I should have redone this level, but I figured that it was not important for this video.

Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Golgo 13 奇跡の弾道 (Kiseki no Dandou) (Miraculous Trajectory) Arcade $37,979,190
This is the second (of three) Golgo 13 game. You can see my TAS of the first game here: https://youtu.be/fA7pn5doCAc
There is more information about the rating system for this game in the description of my first video.
I also did a second TAS of the first game with better precision and without cutscenes here: https://youtu.be/08Ip7rvnp64
I was a little disappointed that 8 out of 20 stages were present in the 1st game. Of these 8, some are slightly different, others are the same.
I would much prefer that all the stages were different, but the new stages are fun to watch.
The snipe graphics seem more useful than in the first game but really arent. Even if I roll a 1000, sometimes the target isnt even in the right place. (see at 17:56)
Stages
-Stage 1 - Challenge from the Bomb man 0:51
-GOAL: Shoot the battery of the bomb before the elevator reach the middle of the building
-I got 1000 relatively easily, but not on the first possible frame.
-Stage 2 - Cut image G 2:14
-GOAL: Shoot the diamond
-Stage 11 in the first game
-Cutscene is exactly the same
-You have to wait longer before shooting because the diamond is hidden by the man for a few frames (1:11 sec compared to 0:85 sec in the first game)
-This version seems easier to get the 1000, I got it on the first try.
-Stage 3 - Closed Burial Chamber 3:41
-GOAL: Security Chief Hasad is hiding from Golgo 13 in a pyramid. Shoot him from the vent.
-Stage 4 - Trolling Boat 5:03
-GOAL: Shoot mafia boss Fiorio from a boat.
-Stage 16 in the first game.
-Exactly the same as in the first game except for the color of his speedo (red vs white).
-I was able to get 1000 this time.
-Stage 5 - Blizzard 6:20
-GOAL: Annihilate the National Police Force
-You have to shoot 7 men, you get 1000 points if you didnt miss any shots.
-Stage 6 - A waiting room called solitary confinement 7:42
-GOAL: Shoot the prisoner through 2 automatic doors (one rotating and one sliding)
-Stage 8 in the first game.
-I got 998.2, I could not find a better spot, exactly like the first game
-Stage 7 - An Undercover agent 8:49
-GOAL: Shoot the assassin who hide behind the hostage
-996.5 in 0:88 = $1,922,590
-You can shoot very early but you only have about 2 pixels between the window and the hostage
-You can get a better shot by waiting, but you have to wait so long that you get less dollars.
998.2 in 2:08 = $1,922,520
998.2 in 4:78 = $1,895,520
-I havent found a 1000 point later but it would have to be around 2:00 to get a better amount of money than shooting early.
-Stage 8 - The shoes of the mafia 10:16
-GOAL: Shoot the heel of the right shoe
-Stage 6 in the first game.
-Stage 9 - Speakers past 11:32
-GOAL: Shoot Chairman Yoshida from an helicopter
-Stage 10 - G Assassination Plan 12:56
-GOAL: Annihilate the guerrilla squad then shoot the helicopter
-Stage 20 in the first game, except this time you have to shoot 20 soldiers instead of 25.
-I got 997.8 in 9:88 = $1,998,550
-I dont know why I didnt get the 1000, I didnt miss a shot.
-I redid the 20 shots to get all the headshots but that didnt change the result.
-But there seems to be a problem, the graph at the end shows 22 moves but I only shot 20, maybe thats why I cant get 1000?
-I checked this in 3 other videos on YT and there are also 21-22 shots on the chart (this looks like a bug to me)
-Stage 11 - The night before the coup détat 14:11
-GOAL: Shoot officer Grant who is planning a coup détat before he gets on the helicopter
-Stage 3 in the first game, except for a change in clothing color.
-Stage 12 - The hunting dog 15:31
-GOAL: Shoot the man identified by the dog
-Normally you have to wait for the dog to identify the culprit, but since the culprit is known by the game before the start of the stage, in the TAS I could shoot the right man very early.
-I got 998.2, I waited a bit for the head to move but I didnt find a 1000

![[TAS] Track & Field arcade 125 860 in 1 round
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Track & Field arcade 125 860 in 1 round
Goal:
-Get the highest score possible in one round.
I know that there is other TAS of this game on You tube but I did not found one that try to have the highest score in one round.
Notes:
100 Meter Dash
-I started a 2 player game to get the bonus 1000 points when you finish with the same time of another player.
-I tested the technique I used in the Hyper Sports TAS that input the buttons at 120hz, but I did not get a better time.
Long Jump
-When you have 3x the same length, you are awarded a bonus of 1000 points.
-but the game do not award you the bonus if you do a world record. So I had to preset impossible score to beat for the world record.
-You cannot get this bonus if you jump under 9.00m because the game makes it impossible to have 3 jumps at the same length.
-The maximum I could do is 9.72. But you cannot do this on the 1st try. Thats why I did 3x 9.63. since you are awarded 20 points for each 0.01 I get a higher score by getting the 1000 points instead of the 180 points for the 0.09 more.
Javelin Throw
-For maximum points, getting the 1000 points bonus 2 times is the best way. I think the score is tabulated only on the best throw.
-I did 3 throws at 99.93 and my score was 48160 but with one throw at 99.93 and 2 bonus gave me 50160.
-It is possible to shoot over 100m but the value overflow and 100 = 0, as shown on the 3rd shot of player 2.
110 Meter Hurdles
-You can get a bonus of 1000 points when you finish with the same time as another player.
-But you can get much more points by using the Hurdle trick.
-The trick consist of using one player to finish the race by jumping over the finish line. This allow you to go over the 40 seconds that is normally the maximum time allowed.
-With the other player, wait 100 second before going over the finish line. The timer roll over at 100 and reset at 0 second.
-By doing this trick I got 16800 points more than doing the 1000 points bonus.
-Thanks to Hector Fly to letting me know this trick. If you want to see one of the best, if not the best player of Track & Field and Hyper Sports, visit his channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/FlyHec
Hammer Throw
-It is possible to get 99.99.
High Jump
-I decided to stop at 2.60m since if you can jump 2.55m this mean you can play infinitely since the height value reset to 0 past 2.55m.
-Each successful jump worth 500 points
-To get the 1000 points bonus: Foul the first two jump, when you will qualify you will get a 1000 points bonus.

![[TAS] Space Invaders arcade: Shooting invaders in reverse order
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Space Invaders arcade: Shooting invaders in reverse order
The goal of this TAS:
-Shooting the invaders from the top down
I did this TAS to verify the rumor on http://www.digitpress.com/eastereggs/arcadespaceinvaders.htm that state:
· RUMOR: Leave at least one of the bottom invaders (either the first or second) in each column. This means shooting around them to destroy the others above them. Nearly impossible, but it can be done. What happens is, if you destroy all but at least one of the bottom two row invaders in each column, the invaders stop marching. They become sitting ducks. You can then blast mystery saucers to your hearts content. Both SI and Deluxe SI have this trick. {Brian Deuel}
Since the top invaders are 4 pixels less wide than the other aliens, it is impossible to shoot them before the others (at the beginning). When an invader move, it move 2 pixel, so you can shoot the alien above him for a few frames but the top invaders are unreachable. The number of frames depend of how many invaders has to move before the one you want to shoot move. When all the invaders are there you have a window of 11 frames to shoot.
Play this video frame by frame you will see what I mean. On PC use the greater than key to advance one frame at a time. If you see 2 invaders move each frames, you are at 30 fps, switch to 720p60 in the quality setting. At 1:10 I shoot a bullet that miss a top row invaders to show you that I cannot shoot him.
To be able to shoot a top row alien, it has to move 2 times (4 pixels) before the bullet reach him. Since the bullet take about 12 frames to go pass a bottom invader to a top row invaders, it mean that it is possible to shoot a top invader only when there is less than 12 invaders total. With this TAS I verified that I could not shoot a top row invader until there was 10 invaders remaining.
So I believe that this Myth is BUSTED.

Tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) of Cruisn World Arcade (1/3) El Diablo in 21:41.54
GOAL:
-Complete the game as quickly as possible
-Try to beat the times on Twin Galaxies at:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/cruisn-world/arcade
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/Cruisn-world-rev-l23/mame
-The first thing you learn while playing this game is that you never need to brake or release the gas pedal. All curves can be taken at full speed, but you lose speed when sliding.
-I did not see any advantage in choosing the manual transmission
-I did 4 TAS of this game improving my times in each one. I decided to post all four, not just the last one, because I think theres something fun to look at in all of them.
-1 - El Diablo in 21:41.54 This video
-2 - Humvee in 21:11.27 https://youtu.be/5_mN4Ry-5e0
-3 - Road King in 20:52.36 https://youtu.be/VHbRSziEePk
-4 - Banzai GTV in 20:10.92 https://youtu.be/3XDq4eCPxu4
-As my main goal is to achieve the best possible time, I didnt mind not finishing first. To finish first, you have to be a little lucky. The first cars must be involved in an accident, otherwise the chances of finishing first are very slim.
Special moves:
Horn
-While racing, press Start to honk the horn. The Humvee will fire its machine gun instead (but without causing damage to anyone).
Wheelie
-To do a Wheelie , double-tap the gas pedal. You will accelerate a little faster for a short time if you are not close to your maximum speed. I did some testing and its useful when accelerating at the start of a stage. (I used it on the 3rd video) This gave me a few more mph (less than 10) for the same distance.
-To jump over a slower moving car or one coming at you, pull a wheelie right before you hit it. If you do it right you should still be pulling a wheelie when you hit the car you are jumping over and will not crash.
Ride on Two Wheels
-Double-tap the gas (Wheelie) while turning a corner.
Jumbo Flip (1 second bonus)
-When you are going up a hill, do a wheelie at the top. The car will do a Back Flip.
-And one second per backflip will be subtracted from your time at the end.
??? see video 2 or 3
Comments:
-In this first TAS, I am learning the game and I hope to spot things that I will be able to improve in the next TAS.
-For this first video I selected the El Diablo car because I wanted a car that sticks to the road.
-I tried to do a Jumbo Flip at every opportunity, on every jump, to get 1 second bonus as many times as possible.
-Australia: I wasnt able to jump at all the places I should have, mainly because of the traffic.
-Australia: even with 5 jumps, my time is much slower than the best time on Twin Galaxies. (1:17.45 vs 1:08.99) Im starting to think theres something I dont know about. It is surely not the difference of 3 mph with the fastest car that explains this significant gap.
-Egypt: Again, my time is much slower than Twin Galaxies. (1:34.21 vs. 1:27.60). I think there are more places I could have jumped.
-Germany: I was 2 seconds slower than the time on Twin Galaxies.
-Italy: Once again, I was 2 seconds slower. Im not sure what I could improve. At least I finished first this time, thanks to the others who had an accident.
-France: Again, 2 seconds slower.
-Mexico: Many other jumping opportunities are available, I should have done more.
Notable Moments:
-0:10 I used the view buttons to select another car and change its color. Hold view 1 or 2 for a selection of 8 more cars. Press View 3 to change color.
-0:39 Instead of colliding with another car, you can jump over it with minimal loss of speed by performing a Wheelie. This is preferable to a collision with another car.
-1:50 Turn the corner on two wheels (double-tap the accelerator when turning a corner)
-11:10 The game seems to have problems detecting collisions between cars on stairs. But I wouldnt recommend doing this in a real game since I tried it several times and it didnt always work.
-27:01 I did a Wheelie so as not to slow down too much due to an inevitable collision
Shortcuts:
-Hawaii 0:51
-China 6:30 and 6:59
-New York 25:12 and 25:19
-I have found 2 more shortcuts not shown here, see my other videos
-In conclusion I am far from beating all the times posted on Twin Galaxies. Theres probably a trick I dont know about (As youll see in video 2).
-Everything I did in these TAS is achievable by a human with a little luck (or not just a little?). I didnt use any special tricks or cheats, just precision driving.

![[TAS] Paperboy Arcade 214,536 (Easy Street)
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Paperboy Easy Street 214,536
The goal of this TAS:
-Get the highest score possible
-This is an improvement from the last TAS. For this one I wanted to verify if you can do a bigger score by keeping just one subscriber since this give you more things to shoot. But I think that the two method are about the same. The biggest difference here is that I have a better pattern for the training course. I will apply what I learned to the other TAS to see what score I can reach.
Notes:
-Difficulty: Medium Hard (factory setting)
-I try to shoot things in that order:
-The flowers give the most points, there is a house (103) that give 1725 breakage points. But you have to run over them.
-Next are things that go ZAP! (250 points) (mostly humans)
-Windows, lamps, tombstone award progressive points if they are from the same house. (100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250 points)
-Jump (200 points)
-Others: trash can, doghouse (100 points)
-There is a limitation for how much newspaper can be in the air at the same time.
-This number is 9
-But, this number decrease by one each time you shoot a mailbox
-At the beginning of a day and for the training course, the number is reset to 9
-if you shoot 9 mailboxes, you cannot shoot anymore
-So, It is impossible to shoot the 10 mailboxes.
-I am not sure if it is a feature or a bug.
-So, you have to think of how many newspapers you want to be able to shoot at the same time.
-I think 4 or 5 is a good number be able to shoot consecutive windows
-So, the maximum mailbox you want to shoot is 4 or 5
-In the training course, you have to take a jump to replenish your stock of newspapers
-In the training course you can shoot targets that are far left, even if you cannot see the awarded score
-Middle Rd. and Hard way are coming soon

Tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) of Targ Arcade 100,000 in 2:52
GOAL: reach 100,000 points as fast as possible.
Notes:
-I wanted to get to 100,000 by shooting something instead of getting it with the bonus. That is why I shooted a police at the end. I may have lost 1 or 2 second there.

![[TAS] Space Invaders arcade 5490 points on Wave 1 (15 saucers)
Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Space Invaders arcade 5490 points on wave 1
Goal of the TAS:
-Get the maximum possible score on wave 1
Notes:
-It is possible to shoot 15 saucers on wave 1
-As you probably know, the saucer give a mystery bonus that is not a big mystery anymore.
The sequence of score is:
50, 50,100,150,100,100, 50,300,100,100,100, 50,150,100,100
The value of the bonus is taken from this table, but change for the next value each time the player shoot a bullet.
The saucer appear every 1536 ($600) frames, so every 25.6 sec.
The timer reset at the start of every wave except for wave 1 where the timer wait for the invaders to drop down a row before starting.
-It is not required to shoot the saucer as soon as possible because the timer for the next saucer start when the saucer appear on the screen, not when it is shot.
-The timer stop when the top row of invaders is 3 row from the bottom. So when you have to shoot the before last row of invaders, no saucer can appear from there.
-The optimal number of columns for the invaders to take the longest time to reach the bottom of the screen is 7.
When there is 11 invaders wide it take 17 steps to reach the other side of the screen.
Each frame one invader move one step, one after the other.
When all 55 invaders are there it take 935 frames to reach the other side of the screen (55 * 17)
Each column is 8 steps wide.
If you shoot one column from any side of the formation (not in the middle) the invaders will take 8 more steps to reach the side of the screen
So, 50 invaders, 17 + 8 = 25 steps then 50 * 25 = 1250 frames to cover the width of the screen
Then:
11 columns: 55 * 17 = 925 frames
10 columns: 50 * 25 = 1250 frames
9 columns: 45 * 33 = 1485 frames
8 columns: 40 * 41 = 1640 frames
7 columns: 35 * 49 = 1715 frames Optimal value
6 columns: 30 * 57 = 1710 frames
5 columns: 25 * 65 = 1625 frames
4 columns: 20 * 73 = 1460 frames
3 columns: 15 * 81 = 1215 frames
2 columns: 10 * 89 = 890 frames
1 columns: 5 * 97 = 485 frames
If you shoot invaders in the middle of the formation, there is less invaders to move so they will take less time to reach the side.
For example if you shoot 2 column in the middle of the formation, the formation is still 11 invaders wide but with less invaders to move so:
45 * 17 = 765 frames, conclusion, the formation will drop faster, you will not have time to shoot 8 saucers.
Example from a video I saw: shoot the 3 right columns so that the formation is 8 invaders wide. Then shoot 2 columns in the middle to make a safety gap.
With 30 invaders remaining in the formation: 30 * 41 = 1230 frames, with this method you can shoot 10 saucers, but not more.
-Since that when you shoot invaders the formation move faster, I shoot the 4 columns at the last possible moment.
