![Hagane: The Final Conflict - 1cc/No Commentary [SNES, 1994]
I decided to play through Hagane: The Final Conflict after seeing a clip of it when browsing Twitter the other day. I dont think I had ever heard of this game prior, but it looked pretty fun from what Id seen of it. I was not disappointed! The stages are fun and mostly dont overstay their welcome, the musics got that great Neo-Japanese flair, the bosses are pretty fun to fight, and Haganes moveset is diverse and powerful! I loved messing around with the different moves Hagane could do!
If theres any real issue I have with the game, its that the game rarely requires or encourages you to actually make use of the rotation moves. Sure, theyre pretty flashy, but its often faster and safer to just swipe at enemies with your sword or spam projectiles. Though to be fair, this might just be a result of me not playing the game over and over yet, and there might be more areas where it makes sense to use them.
Also, at a first glance, the story doesnt really go into much detail in-game. The US manual *does* go into the ongoing feud between the Fuma and Koma Clans, as well as show the backstory of Hagane himself, but it doesnt really explain anything about the various enemies or bosses (more specifically, who is that mysterious man who appears in 2-1, 4-1 and 5-1?). The Japanese manual does look like it goes into a bit more detail, but I havent had a chance to delve into that yet. This isnt a huge deal for me, but it did leave me more curious than anything.
In any case, I had a great time playing this! It definitely seems like the kind of game Id play again later on!

If youre paying attention to the timestamps, you might notice that this remix was made last year. I had this all ready to go, but for whatever reason I did not feel confident enough to publish this until now. Im posting it now because it was bugging me that this was left unposted for so long. I hope it turned out alright regardless!

Earlier this week, I had planned to release a Famitracker version of this song instead of posting my Pizza Tower arrange. However, just before that went live I went to listen to the version used in Donkey Kong Land 3 just for fun, only to find it didnt exist. As such, I decided to convert that cover to the Game Boy the following day. I also ended up doing an impromptu stream showcasing that process, though Im not sure I did the best job conveying my thoughts during it... Since the Famitracker version is still uploaded, I might post that later if youre interested!

A while back I mentioned I had another song I wanted to remix for Valentines Day, but held off on posting it for a much better occasion and swapped it with Fallin Love instead. This is that song, and THIS is that better occasion.
