Tape-Tech Echo! 」Processing a digital polysynth sound from Ableton through our Tape-Tech Echo plugin to add warm, wobbling repeats and tape style flanging to the sound.
The output of Ableton’s Wavetable synth is processed directly through the new Tape-Tech Echo. Starting with a fast roomy echo, the Time and Feedback are increased to create a wash of clock synced echoes. As the Age and Wow amounts are turned up, the echo begins to take on an increasingly worn out vintage analog tape echo sound. From there, the unique Shift control is used to pitch shift the repeats multiple octaves up as they continuously feed back. Finally, the time is decreased to very short, producing a flanger style effect organically modulated by the Wow setting which authentically mimics an original hand controlled reel to reel flanger effect.
