I missed that the title for the X-2 video was wrong for a whole week.
Anyway... crystal chronicles is a strange one, it feels like a different IP with final fantasy slapped on top, maybe they were trying to do the Ivalice Aliance play and try to make another unified universe.
But even for a series so spin-off-y the rest of their games feel even more like spin-offs, the ones with the most connection were the two games from the wiiware.
At least the cat girl made it into world of final fantasy.
(Didnt that one conclude really open-ended? the sequel is probably never happening)

Choosing where to go for a rogress makes some scenes unique for each playthrough, as you cant visit half the spots, and also the summons you have available for a long while. You are forced to explore all the places later, but without some stuff.
