Looking at a Roadtrek Popular 190 based on a Chevy Express 3500 and the Overlanding possibilities of a 1 ton 4x4 truck. In this case it is a 2015 Ram 3500 single rear wheel truck with a Cummins/Aisin drivetrain.
The van is about 4500 kg when fully loaded with water, etc. The truck weighs the same amount as-shown before any further outfitting. I really do not recommend spending any effort converting a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton. You need a 1-ton or you will end up dangerously over weight.
