Kits World | Talking About... The Railway Children (1970) | Film Review @kitsworld | Uploaded April 2020 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
Beloved by generations of families around the world, The Railway Children is a classic of both literature and cinema. In his Directorial debut, actor Lionel Jeffries achieved a movie masterpeice that has withstood the test of time, and remains at the top of many lists for "Best Family Film".
Featuring a delightful trio of talented youths, Jenny Agutter, Sally Thomsett, and Gary Warren in the lead roles, and supported by a heartwarming supporting turn by Bernard Cribbins, this film is guaranteed to tug at the heart strings. It remains one of my all-time favourite films.
As usual with these talks, the opinions I express are purely my own, offered in an unscripted, off-the-cuff stream of consciousness. As such, I am liable to spew incorrect data in the midst of my enthusiastic babble. Please forgive any factual errors.
A lot of work goes into these videos, so it would be really nice to see my stats going up, so please, pretty please with sugar on top, hit the damn "Like" button, smash the "Subscribe" button, and go crazy on that pesky "Notifications Bell." Thank you. :)
