I've been re-reading The Realm of the Elderlings books by Robin Hobb, beginning with The Farseer Trilogy. In the second part of my discussion of Book 3, Assassin's Quest, we continue to follow Fitz as he travels across country with a small group of companions in search of Prince Regal. Fitz has the ability to communicate and bond with animals, and in this book his relationship with Nighteyes the wolf continues to strengthen and evolve.
This episode concludes the first portion of my Farseer vlog. I have opted to skip the Liveship Traders trilogy, and have jumped straight to the next 1st person trilogy, The Tawny Man Trilogy, beginning with Fool's Errand.
For this episode, I re-visited Kenilworth Castle which I'm using as a stand-in for Buckkeep Castle from the books. It was teeming with rude and noisy tourists, so I made the decision to stay outside the castle grounds instead. This was a good choice, as I got to spend an enjoyable couple of hours on a tranquil riverbank. Gorgeous!
