Alvin plays with a mix of gun and sword, making him relatively versatile when it comes to his approach. His greatest passive strength lies in his superarmor when/after charging. I don't play Alvin, so I don't know the skills he uses, but it can make it difficult to open him up after he charges. If I am unsure, I will throw a few wall-Rending Quakes out(e.g. 0:24) to see if he's staggerable, and if he is, proceed accordingly.

Like some of the other shadow bosses, he does not have an aerial counter aside from Overlimit until 50%HP, so, due to his rather large HP pool, I utilize this to get to the 50% mark quicker(noooo, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Alvin / Agria fight earlier in the run... not at all )=03... ). From there, he will use Dark Radiance as an aerial counter, then, I THINK after 25%HP, only Homing Shot as an aerial counter. I say "think" because this was the first, and, only time I got him so low, so my usual confidence about its frequency is lost. Its also why my after-counter proc approach was so awkward, because I thought Homing Shot was an outlier counter, not his main one.

Like I learned in the Milla ( Master ) fight, I decided to use equipment to avoid particular artes. Alvin is keen to using Trap Shot and its charged version, especially during Overlimit. Its annoying to deal with because the arte causes rocks to fall all over the battlefield. Dying to RNG is not a fun experience, especially late in the fight, so I equip the usual Elemental helmet/armor and a Ruby(50% earth resist) to remove that component from the fight. Once I did, he barely used the Trap artes. The Red Cape accessory(absorb fire, earth, light; weak to water, wind, dark) might work just as well, even better perhaps, but again I didn't know how the weakness/resistances would change his approach so I opted not to.

He can be guard manipulated into using Variable Trigger, but who would do that, lol.

Modifications made:
- bosses have all weaknesses and resistances removed
- set Leia's Max HP to 18(so I can die in 1 hit)
- set STR and DEX to 9999(this can be done legitimately at endgame)
- changed Chronos 3 encounter to the video's boss and battlefield to Illusionary Darkness; avoids needing to link to deal damage
- -result from above caps the encounter at level 77 by default instead of the enemy's original level(if its higher, and it will be for Shadow bosses)

Music:
VilllllL's - JazzMatazz vol.1(Track 26)
The Deli - Tyner

BIG THANKS to @Sora3100 for the cheat table to make this run possible =03!
