For this challenge, I traveled to The Belgian Saloon & Eats in Greenleaf, Wisconsin to face their exclusive Great Pickle Challenge. The rules were simple: finish a full lineup of pickled foods in just 5 minutes. The spread included pickle chips, pickled herring, hot pickled sausage, pickled pig’s feet, mushrooms, brussels sprouts, hot and regular pickled eggs, plus a giant pickle. Winners earn a groovy T-shirt that proudly says “I Got Pickled at De Belgian” and a spot on their Wall of Fame.
This one definitely lived up to its reputation as one of the strangest eating adventures I’ve ever tried!
