vswitchzero | Taking a 486 SX-25 and the FIC 486-VC-HD to the Max! @vswitchzero | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 28 minutes ago.
Today I’m doing some old-school overclocking with crystal oscillator cans! Let’s see how far we can push this value-based FIC 486-VC with an on-board Intel 486 SX-25. I wanted to approach this exercise from the perspective of a budget conscious consumer back in 1992 and see what kind of transformation is possible without spending any extra money on upgrades or parts.

03:28 Overclocking to 33MHz
04:44 Overclocking to 40MHz
05:39 Overclocking to 50MHz
07:41 Benchmark Results
09:25 ISA Bus Overclocking
