vswitchzero | Booting up and testing my newly repaired 430VX motherboard! @vswitchzero | Uploaded December 2021 | Updated October 2024, 55 minutes ago.
I picked up this 430VX board for the #sockettome7 buildoff but didn't realize it had a non-socketed RTC module. In the end I had to use a different board, but I finally got around to repairing this one. In this video I take a quick look at the new RTC socket, repaired surface mount capacitor, a new S3 ViRGE and a COAST module for a cache upgrade.
System Specs:
Intel Pentium 133 (2x66MHz, retail cooler)
Gemlight GMB-P56IPS Motherboard (Intel 430VX chipset)
16MB 66MHz SDRAM
ExpertColor S3 ViRGE DX PCI video card
