Stop-Motion Transformation of Takara Binaltech BT-04 Hound. He has springy shocks instead of steering. Boy, they kind of gave up when it came to the backpack, didn’t they? Yes, he’s missing his left side rearview mirror. No idea when that broke off, I’ve had him for 21 years now after all. I like how he has that sneaky flip-over plate to hide his Autobot symbol, but he just has one on his license plate anyway.

Production Note: At the end of the vehicle 360, I noticed too late there was a hair on his hood. I decided rather than reshoot the whole 360, I would edit it out in post. Bad me that takes the pictures! As it turns out, editing a hair out of 100 photos by hand is actually harder than just shooting the 360 over. Who knew? But it did slightly reduce wear and tear on the camera.

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
