Saw that someone made a jazz version of HINOTORI during a karaoke stream and that sounded interesting so I thought I'd try it too! This is pretty rough around the edges but I just wanted to see if I could get the concept across. Changed a lot of the harmony to a minor quality to give it more of a jazz vibe and also doubled a lot of the sections.

I didnt really LOVE this song until I saw Joe Hisaishi perform it live as an encore song, but now its part of my piano vocabulary :3 ! Theres one part in the song that made me REALLY like it: 1:59-2:03, idk, that melodic line is just mmmmm so tasty
That aside, Princess Mononoke is what I believe to be the best Ghibli movie, objectively. It definitely isnt my favorite, but I think after all the films Ive seen from Ghibli, its the best one overall. Ill be rewatching it for the 3rd time soon since theyre showing it at my local theatre, but itll be my first time seeing it at the theatre on the big screens, so Im PUMPED :D !!!
Also, trying out new camera angles, will be something a different angle again next vid to keep it fresh like an avocado
