This is an instructional video series about the ancient Norse game of "Tablut" (from the Tafl family of games) titled "Edge Escape Is Balanced". The purpose of the series is to show that articles on the internet which assert that "edge escape" rules (the traditional rules) make for an "unbalanced" game are false. The series will prove that edge escape rules allow for the most balanced game when two players fully understand the intricacies of the game. Further, it will aim to show that "edge tafl" allows for a more challenging, complex, and beautiful game, and that "corner tafl" does not.
Part 1 discusses two articles about the game, a brief introduction, and then begins explaining the rules.
