This composition is a tribute to jazz legend Thelonius Monk (and pays homage to his unique, genius style).
About the composer: Adam Torkelson majored in Composition and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. He studied advanced counterpoint with Gregory Fritze, instrumentation and score preparation with Thomas Allen LeVines, and had directed studies in both sonata and orchestral composition with John Bavicchi. Advanced jazz composition courses include Advanced Chord Scale Arranging with Phil Wilson.
