T-55A
The T-55 Main Battle Tank was a further upgrade to the T-54 series appearing in the late 1950s and intended to counter the new American M60 series Compared with the preceding model, the T-55 incorporated an all-new turret as well as NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protection for the crew. The V-55 series diesel engine was reworked for an overall output of 580 horsepower through fuel injection and compression coupled with a power-assisted clutch and pneumatic engine start feature. and compression while the integrated engine smoke screen generation system was retained. The T-55 was given an increased operational due to the inclusion of a new internal fuel storage cell at the bow. Internal storage was also increased to raise the 100mm projectile count from 34 to 43. While the T-54made use of the 12.7mm DShK anti-aircraft heavy machine gun to counter low flying aerial threats, the T-55 removed this installation from the loader's hatch (later production forms after 1970 returned use of the 12.7mm DShK anti-aircraft heavy machine gun and were designated as T-55AM). Initial production models were known simply by the "T-55" designator.
The T-54/55 series eventually became the most-produced tank in military history. Estimated production numbers for the series range from 86,000 to 100,000. They were replaced by the T-62, T-64, T-72, T-80 and T-90 tanks in the Soviet and Russian armies, but remain in use by up to 50 other armies worldwide, some having received sophisticated retrofitting.

T-55M - 70 Finnish T-55 tanks were upgraded to T-55M/MK level with new fire control system FCS-FV/K, new tracks, side skirts, NSVT machine gun, Wegmann 76mm smoke grenade launchers, Lyran 71mm mortar etc.
KAM-1 - Finnish medium recovery tank built on T-54 hull, developed in 1984. Prototype only.
KAM-2 - Finnish light recovery tank built on T-54 hull, developed in 1985. Prototype only.
155GH52-SP-T55 - Finnish 155 mm Tampella type gun mounted on a T-55 chassis. Prototype only.
ITPSV 90 Marksman (ItPsv 90) - Finnish SPAAG conversion of the Polish T-55AM equipped with the British Marksman turret.
VT-55A ARV
VT-55A ARV is special tracked vehicle built on a T-55a medium tank chassis. it was designed to recover equipment stuck on an obstacle or equipment damaged in combat or even to make repairs. Its armour, resistance to weapons of mass destruction (wmd) and complete drive (engine, gearbox) were maintained and they are identical to the T-55a type.

Panssarimuseo on perustettu vuonna 1961 ja siihen tutustuu vuosittain yli 30 000 kävijää. Museon kokoelmiin kuuluu noin 70 panssariajoneuvoa, 40 panssarintorjunta-asetta ja panssarijuna.
Parola Armour Museum
Parola Tank Museum, Armoured Vehicle Museum is a military museum located 110 kilometres north of Helsinki in Parola, near Hämeenlinna, Finland, a few kilometres from the Finnish Army Armoured Brigade training unit. It displays various tanks, armoured vehicles and anti-tank guns used by the Finnish Defence Forces throughout their history. A rare exhibit is an armoured train used in World War II.

K9 Thunder Moukari
In July 2016, the Finnish Ministry of Defence announced that an undisclosed number of used K9s have been selected to be acquired from the Republic of Korea. The acquisition is claimed to be biggest of the decade for the Land Forces, whose both mobile and towed artillery face mass outdating in the 2020s. In February 2017, the Ministry of Defence announced that Finland will acquire 48 used K9s over a period of seven years starting in 2018, with conscript training on the equipment commencing in 2019. In November 2022 Finland announced to buy 48 more K9s. After delivery of all weapons Finland will have 96 K9 SPGs.
The K9 Thunder is a South Korean self-propelled 155 mm howitzer developed by Samsung Techwin for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces and now manufactured by Hanwha Land Systems. It was developed to supplement and then replace the K55 self-propelled howitzers in South Korean service.
K9 is an indigenous system of an all-welded steel armour construction which is rated to withstand 14.5 mm armour piercing rounds, 152 mm shell fragments, and anti-personnel mines. The main armament consists of a 155 mm/52 caliber ordnance with a maximum firing range of 40 km; the K307 BB-HE projectile propelled by the K676 top charge has a muzzle velocity of 928 m/s (3,040 ft/s). State-of-the-art mobility subsystems include a 1,000 horsepower (750 kW) engine with potential for growth and hydropneumatic suspension unit, a requirement for Koreas rugged mountainous terrain.

K9 Thunder on Korean tasavallassa Samsung Aerospace Industriesin ja Korean tasavallan asevoimien vuosina 1989-1998 kehittämä ja 1999 sarjatuotantoon otettu raskas panssarihaupitsi, jonka valmistaja on nykyään nimeltään Hanwha Land Systems. Se on kehitetty aluksi täydentämään amerikkalaiseen M109-panssarihaupitsiin pohjautuvaa korealaista K55-panssarihaupitsia, ja myöhemmin korvaamaan sen kokonaan. Myöhemmin määräksi tarkentui 48 yksikön telahaupitsin tilaus. Marraskuussa 2022 Suomi ilmoitti ostavansa 48 yksikköä lisää. Toimitusten päätyttyä Suomella on 96 K9-panssarihaupitsia.

T-34/85
Finnish use: Seven tanks were taken to Finnish use during Continuation War. First T-34/76 was taken to Finnish use in October of 1941. The last of these tanks remained in Finnish use until year 1961. The tanks were both captured in combat and brought from Germany.
Finnish estimates and experiences:
Early Finnish estimate of T-34 tank: Armour quite adequate, diesel-engine works reliably even in winter, speed quite adequate - apparently the tank has a good off-road mobility. Our troops have succeeded destroying these tanks with satchel charges thrown to rear deck. Tank crew has poor visibility outside, tank tracks can be broken with satchel charges, antitank-mines or with 37-mm antitank-guns. 45-mm antitank-gun can penetrate lower side hull armour between road-wheels or if the tank is tilted suitably (turning sloped side hull armour into vertical position) it can penetrate also higher side armour.
Finnish tank crews found T-34/76 to obviously be a massive improvement over earlier tanks like T-26E and captured Soviet T-26. Not only was its 76-mm tank gun much more effective and armour protection useful against Soviet antitank-weapons, but thanks to wide tracks, powerful diesel engine and showed good mobility in typical Finnish terrain and also deep snow. Unlike with light tanks even individual tree or two were no real obstacle, since T-34 was found capable knocking down trees less than 80-cm thick. Since the number of captured T-34 tanks taken to Finnish use remained always very limited, it seems likely that most capable crews were handpicked for them. As mentioned the first three T-34 tanks taken to Finnish use were issued to Heavy Tank Company of Tank Battalion and when the Battalion was expanded to Brigade, they went to 3rd Tank Company (1st Battalion) of Tank Brigade. When additional T-34 tanks were received in summer of 1944 also they ended up to this tank company.

The Swedish Tank Museum – Showing the military vehicle development, as well as the military history of Sweden, from the early 20th century until today. The museum also includes a very special exhibition of tin figures, as well as a soldier’s croft dating back to the 17th century, where an accompanying exhibition tells you about a bygone era.
The museum was inaugurated June 17, 2011 and is open year round. Run by a private foundation – Foundation Södermanland Military History collections. The vehicles belong to the Swedish Government – the Swedish National Museums of Military History. The vehicles were previously located to the Tank Museum in Axvall and Military Vehicle Museum in Malmköping. The collection includes about 350 vehicles, of which about 75 are on display in the museum. Some parts of the exhibition changes each year.
Beside the museum there is an original soldiers croft from late 19th century with an accompanying exhibition, The Soldier and the Croft. An exhibition about the history of the local Regiment (Södermanland regiment) tell the story from 14thcentury until 2005 when the regiment was closed. The figure museum is a private collection which previously existed as a museum in Hjortnäs in Dalarna.
