Pantex nuclear weapon assembly plant, the USAF and USN used the T1509 Recoder starting in the mid-1960s to re-code the safety devices in nuclear weapons. There was visual indication of the codes and the operators could check the switches inside the bomb with this portable device. Filmed at the US national atomic museum at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque NM USA in 2010.
