Mark-19 "Katie" 280mm Atomic Cannon Projectile filmed at the US national atomic museum at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque NM USA in 2013. This was the largest land-fired projectile built in the USA. Produced 1953-1956, it was live fired in the famous artillery test of shell T-315 by "Atomic Annie" in test shot Upshot-Knothole on 25 May 1953. It was deployed from 1956 until 1963. The shell weighs about 270 kg, and has a nuclear yield of 15-20 kilotonnes. Only 50 atomic shells were produced, while the US Army had 20 Atomic Annie guns built.
