The Synthesizers.com Q960 analog sequencer doesn't have random mode. You can get it to do random sequences using a Q124 Sample & Hold module. Here is how to patch it...
Connect white noise to the Q124 input and trigger the S&H using one of the rows out. Connect the S&H out to the Q960 shift input... Now the Q960 makes random steps. :)
