MelodyCrystel | 【Synthesizer V Cover】 Encanto - Waiting On A Miracle - German Version 【Stardust / 星尘 Minus】 @MelodyCrystel | Uploaded March 2022 | Updated October 2024, 3 days ago.
Being someone who enjoys most Disney-movies, it was quite predictable for me to have lots of fun thanks to Encanto - plus to love the soundtrack very much. (Not only the songs, but the whole music is great.)
So, before Stardust / 星尘 Infinity got released, I had seriously picked up the random idea how Minus might sound if I made her sing in my native language. (Was mentioned on DeviantArt; in the artist-comment about our girl's 2B-cosplay.)
》As a result, here we have "Warten, dass ein Wunder kommt", which was more or less done in terms of lyrics-filling plus lineart-drawing when Stardust's sudden voicebank-release tilted my attention somewhere else.
Truth be told, the quest to find a Taobao Agent willing to buy digital products had me awkwardly asking for help / interviewing customer-services / googleing around, which had me occupied for a while. (I rendered myself helpless earlier, hence the urgency to find an agent who'd purchase virtual goods was especially personal because we're talking Xingchen here, after all.) Adding basic-colors to mentioned lineart was all I did in that period for the WdeWk-cover.
Alas, creating a tutorial about said purchasing-process ate some time, too, BUT in the meantime I learned thanks to SynthV's forum the command for Minus' breathing! It's not the standard "Br" - instead, you have to place one of the numbers 1 to 5 next to the letters for hearing the desired noise.
》For example, I picked "Br5", though there seems to be no difference aka no variation when picking another number.
Anyways, once yon video was out, I focused on Minus' Mirabel-cosplay, added that breathing to the cover, edited an official Encanto-wallpaper for the picture-background and wrote down the lyrics for better comprehensibility of her chanting.
Little side-note: The German "ch" used in words such as "ich" was - as expected - a problem. For this cover, I could either go with "h" for a sometimes unpredictable noise or go with the alternative "x", which meant a heavy dialect. Going with the latter might at first seem stupid, but to me it sounded much more charming when compared to the other not-so-right sound. Hence, Minus sings German a bit like someone from, let's say, Sachsen.
