Raw 10 minute capture of Synapse running.
Synapse is a motion-intelligence system for characters that can't be pre-scripted. It doesn't play a canned animation and hope nothing goes wrong, it reads the body's actual state every frame and responds the way a person would, mid-stride.
In this demo the character walks and runs over uneven ground, steps onto and off obstacles, and gets knocked around. Watch what happens on impact:
instead of a scripted stumble, the body reacts with real mass, it braces, shifts weight, and catches itself before it hits the ground. When it does go down, it doesn't snap to a pose. It falls, hits, and finds its way back to its feet on its own.
The motion intelligence is always on:
- Balance is maintained live, not replayed and the character stays
upright because it's actually balancing.
- Falls are caught and recovered, not staged.
- Every step over stairs, slopes, and obstacles is negotiated by the
body itself, not by a choreographed clip.
No two falls look the same. No two recoveries do either.
Currently needs works on full body blending for unified intelligence and less arm waving.
This is currently v0.10 build for motion intelligence.
