Another lightly edited home movie... not a travelogue or documentary.
We leave Chur on the day-long train ride to Zermatt on the legendary Glacier Express. Zermatt is in view of the Matterhorn - its distinct shape makes it stand out everywhere in the area. Only a quick shot of it in this video... much more in the days to come.
Our evaluation: the scenery on the train rides to Arosa and Saint Moritz was better. Judge for yourself. The Glacier Express has huge windows (in First Class, at least), and the lunch was good. But the windows had a lot of glare (especially for video, but for eyeballs, too), and they didn't open. And... I'm assuming.... the more scenic and spectacular Alps were hidden by closer mountains in the long valley that the train runs through.
The video shows one glacier. We probably saw a few more, but it was the 'Glacier Express', so... ?
