This is a story I put together for the Ham Nation show back in 2011. It covers ham radio operation for one of the BikeMS rides - this one called "Breakaway to the Beach", from Charlotte NC and Columbia SC to the coast - with hams supplied by clubs in both cities and along the route (and me, from Raleigh NC). It's a good, quick look at what ham radio does for these big events.
