Switched on Cantatas - Bach on Bike 2026 @ArthurStammet

The title Switched on Cantatas pays homage to Wendy Carlos, who in 1968, with her debut album Switched On Bach (Columbia Records), brought the Moog synthesizer to widespread attention. In this concert, Valérie Stammet’s voice intertwines with a palette of synthesizer timbres through which Arthur Stammet, drawing on the scores of Johann Sebastian Bach, has crafted orchestral style arrangements of selected arias from the cantatas. The Sinfonia from Cantata No. 29 appears in this program as an interlude rather than, as is customary, an opening movement.

Concert recorded and filmed by Arthur Stammet on July 19th 2026 at the Schierener Boulemettien Boulodrome in Schieren (Luxembourg).

The original fractal footage, created by Arthur Stammet in 2013, was retimed and fused with SpaceEngine scenes in 2025 using Filmora, where titles and effects were added to enhance the narrative.
