Nova 2D Fractal-Zoom created in Fractal eXtreme in 2012 by Arthur Stammet. The Nova and NovaM fractals are variations on Newton's method, invented by Paul Derbyshire. A constant is added after each iteration, which dramatically changes the results. Sepia and Glow effects, realized with the ProDAD Vistascene plugin, have been added to the raw render (youtu.be/HoZjGU7Pauc) in Premiere CS5.

A high density render of this fractal is intended to be used as footage for art videos with music. This demo is presented in a DVD-Widescreen-resolution. A high quality render in 1080p will soon be available on the author's website, which is actually under construction.

The original fractal footage, created by Arthur Stammet in 2013, was retimed and fused with SpaceEngine scenes in 2025 using Filmora, where titles and effects were added to enhance the narrative. The haunting soundtrack was born from a live improvisation on the grand Haupt-Mayer Organ at Mersch Church (Luxembourg), performed by Paul.
