Switcharoom (as in Switcharoo-Doom) is an interesting Vanilla-compatible MegaWAD currently in alpha testing. The WAD explores what Doom would be like if some of the original levels appeared in different episodes; each level therefore combines the structure and features from two original levels.
This is E1M8, which is reminiscent of Doom's E1M8 and E2M8. How could E2M8 work as a boss battle against Barons of Hell? Answer: lots, and lots of them.
