The Bahamas is an amazing place full of adventure. We really wanted to spend a lot of time swimming with the pigs on Pig Beach, so we decided to spend a few days on Staniel Cay instead of taking a tour from Nassau or Exuma. Staniel Cay is only a 10 minute boat ride to the Pig Beach, and was such a charming little Island! Just make sure to bring enough cash (US) because there are no ATM's on the Island!
There are no ferries to Staniel Cay, although I read there is a mail boat which is cheap but could take 12 hours, stopping at every little Island along the way delivering mail and freight. We decided to fly on Flamingo Air, which was quite the experience! This was by first time flying on a Beech aircraft and it was a nice ride!
We stayed at the EMBRACE Resort, which was about about a 8-11 minute walk to the 3 grocery stores and 2 restaurants on the island. One day, we rented a golf cart from our resort and explored both ends of the Island, including the beautiful Pirate Beach!

The night skyline of Chicago is a wonderful, intriguing backdrop for the 59 City of New Orleans Amtrak train. The train has an interesting sequence it follows to get it on the right track out of Chicago. I hope you enjoy this quiet nighttime video!")
