GG Allin stayed at my place for eight days in July 1991 while we were making Carnival of Excess in Tampa Florida. While I had scheduled events for the week (photo and video shoots, In store appearances, recording sessions, interviews, limo rides, tattoos, etc.) there was still time where we had nothing planned. In addition to copious amounts of drinking, one of the other the things that we did was to go swimming. I had an above ground pool at the house, so GG and I would beat the Florida heat by swimming and drinking a few beers while we listened to Babylon By Bus, the great live album by Bob Marley. The pool served two purposes that week. First, we had a lot of fun swimming, second, it served as a way to keep GG somewhat clean for the week, as he wasn’t one to have fastidious hygiene habits. We had a loti of fun that week and amazingly got a lot of work done as well. Swimming with GG Allin was certainly one of the more unique and surreal events of my l9ife. Unforgettable in many ways!
