Learn more about garlic mustard in this video, the second of our three-part series with Reid Williamson of Sustainable Roots Ecological Restoration.

In the video, you’ll get to attend Reid’s Working With Invasives workshop.

In the workshop, you’ll also learn that it's a biennial plant, and that it’s best to forage for it and harvest it in its second year — before its flowers have a chance to go to seed and spread.

We learn that all parts of the garlic mustard plant are edible, from the root to the leaves to the flower.

We'll take a trip into the forest at the Humber Arboretum, where Reid teaches us how to identify garlic mustard (and we share quite a few close-ups of the plant so you can see what it looks like).

And, Reid takes us through her wonderfully easy garlic mustard pesto recipe, and shares a few tips for how to enjoy the final product.

To get the garlic mustard recipe with amounts and full method, be sure to visit our website to read the article that goes along with this video!
