Cape Town is known for its outstanding restaurants catering to an array of tastes. For those intrigued by all things Asian or inspired by the Rugby World Cup, head to the best Japanese eatery in town - Kyoto Garden.
The award-winning restaurant has just added the accolade of Best Seafood Restaurant in Cape Town to it's list thanks to its authentic sushi.
To our surprise Kyoto Chef Arata Koga tells us traditional sushi is never served with mayonnaise while soya and wasabi are used sparingly.
Kyoto Garden also boasts South Africa’s largest collection of Japanese whisky and is renowned for authentic cocktails, including the popular Dirty Ninja Saketini.
This is an authentic experience for sophisticates, set against the backdrop of very cool, minimalist decor. Expect an intimate, tranquil setting in the Zen zone with wooden textures, white blinds and screens.
