Footage from the surveillance camera on the Hatfield building in Portland shows Benjamin Kerensa and several mask-clad individuals huddling up to pre-meditate their attack on me. This video was part of the evidence that was under seal by order of Judge Thomas Ryan at the request of Multnomah County Deputy District Attorneys Kate Molina and Todd Jackson. They did not want the public to see this video before my trial.
Somehow I am considered the bad guy here, even though this video clearly shows that Benjamin Jacob Kerensa and others were the aggressors, and I am seen in the grey backpack retreating the entire time.
Note all of the people jumping down from the ledge around the 40 second mark to join in the attack and pursuit.
Note that Bkerensa separates himself from the bulk of the mob at around the 1:00 mark, along the sidewalk, and then he begins to flank me from my left as my attention was diverted to my right.
Fearing that Kerensa's 400 pound body was about to flatten me into a pancake, and the others in an aggressive mob mentality were seconds away from beating me, I was left with no choice but to draw my gun to fend them off.
Who goes running toward someone who has a gun?
For not wanting to go to the hospital and be robbed of my cameras and computer, I was charged and found guilty of 21 counts; 10 "unlawful use of a weapon", 10 "menacing", and 1 disorderly conduct.
Though Ben Kerensa and his friends clearly instigated the entire situation and created the chaotic scene, they were not brought up on any charges and are considered the "victims".
I post these videos as a public service announcement so that the public can be informed as to Benjamin Jacob Kerensa's dangerous and violent behavior. I urge you to have no contact with Benjamin Kerensa.
