The creation and the development of a marina in the town of Brétignolles-Sur-Merwould threaten coastal ecosystems, sea currents, the rupture of the dune and seabed, as well as marine fauna and flora.

Surfrider Coastal Defenders have been working closely with the local community and government agencies to raise awareness and fight against this development.

The Surfrider Coastal Defenders program has received funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
