This is for my hero, Juan. I want to remind him that though he is a superman in every sense of the word, that doesn't mean he is untouchable. Heroes go through a journey. I've always fussed over certain DC and Marvel heroes and wanted to know their Origin stories before jumping into the middle of a series of comics or films etc I love humble beginnings and critical moments in a heroes journey that end up defining them or changing them. Through heart ache or loss etc we all face the life we are given and it's a hard thing to live sometimes in adversity… there are two ways of achieving this thing we call life.. the first way is easy but wrong and the second way is good but difficult.
The first way is to be as nasty as the world you see around you in order to progress. Step on all the little people and climb to the top not caring who you hurt on the way!
The second way to live is to recognise those who are also in life's perilous grasp and to fight alongside them and help yourself by helping them to endure. Few choose the latter. Even fewer stick to the latter. This man is one of those few.
I also place my trust in Juan until the day I die. I hope you know that you are one in a billion, to me. I'll never be able to repay your kindness and patience with me. I can be late, I can be over eager, I can be a lot of things… but you see the real me and call me friend and that means the world to me. That's why you're my hero and why I'll always drop anything to help you the best I can.
