Supergirl Movie Box Office Projections Falls Off a Cliff Again As DCU Film Tracks Below The Flash, Box Office Theory has cut its forecast for the DC Studios film by 9%, now estimating a U.S. opening of $51 million when Supergirl hits theaters June 26.
Green Lantern — opened to $53.1 million in 2011 ( $78.7 million adjusted for inflation)
Shazam! — opened to $53.5 million in 2019 ($69.7 million adjusted)
The Flash — opened to $55.1 million in 2023
Black Adam — opened to $67 million in 2022
Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, it will be the second film in the DC Universe (DCU). Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa. In the film, Supergirl travels across the galaxy on a murderous quest for revenge. It is produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran of DC Studios.
