A reliable out-of-bounds setup for real time attempts:
1.Go left to the low ceiling. Jump and release turrets on the upper half of the drain cover in the background. Repeat this until you fall through the floor (might take a couple tries).
2. Hold in right while falling. You want to land at the gap between the three birds.
3. Place and climb two generously-spaced turrrets and then jump right to clear some invisible walls.
4. Keep on running and jumping right. Jump at the last horizontal pipe section to avoid a nasty boundary which can snag you.

![Guacamelee! GE - Experimental Any% Route (El Infierno No. 8)
EDIT: Use El Infierno Room #3 instead - its faster to reach and behaves just like Room #8.
Any% route that uses the new El Infierno No. 8 discovery.
Route changes occur 15:25 - 28:44.
This route is by no means optimized; feedback is welcome.
Pardon the mediocre execution. This is a route experiment, not a run!
Note that fighting Jaguar in Skeleton costume was a mistake!
New tech:
El Infierno No. 8 is an exploit that uses El Infierno room #8 to acquire special abilities. When you exit room #8, the game checks the current objective to determine which special abilities the player is given.
By entering Sierra Morena early (to set the current objective) and then exiting El Infierno room #8, we are given Dashing Derp Derp and Goat Climb without entering Temple of War. Goat Climb allows us to finish the game without Double Jump, so Tule Tree is also skipped.
Money theory:
Skipping Temple of War loses approximately $500.
No Stamina Delay Boost Lvl. 2 gains $3500.
Entering El Infierno costs $5000.
Thus we are about $2000 in debt compared to the previous Any% route, which can be overcome by 4 treasure chests:
* Forest underpass [17:46]
* Desert pollo tunnel [23:48]
* Sierra green block drop [29:35]
* Sierra chupa mountain [30:08]
Route summary:
1. Play through Temple of Rain using existing Any% route.
2. Olmec travel back to Temple of Rain. Enter dead world and Pause + Quit.
3. Game loads at Forest Olmec. Olmec travel to Santa Luchita. Set Santa Luchita as SDG warp region, acquire Frog Slam, and then Pause + Quit.
4. Game loads at Santa Luchita Olmec. Olmec travel to Forest. Defeat Xtabay and acquire Dimension Swap. While in living world, Pause + Quit.
5. Game loads at Combo Chickens Gym. Enter Desert, break green entrance blocks, and Pause + Quit.

7. Enter next room in living world. Pay the guy $5000 to open the El Infierno door. Acquire Pollo Power. While in pollo form (important!), activate the following save altar and then Pause + Quit.
8. Game loads at Santa Luchita next to Desert. SDG - Continue.
9. Game loads at last activated save altar in Desert. Enter El Infierno. Olmec travel to Santa Luchita. Enter and exit Sierra Morena, and then Olmec travel back to El Infierno.
