In 1.16 making a Wither Skeleton farm got a lot easier. But it's still a grind to make a full one. In this video I'll show you how to make a REALLY simple farm that produces 8-12 Wither skeleton sculls an hour. It can be build very early game and can be upgraded along the way to be more efficient.
UPSIDE: Very simpel. Can realistically be build in two hours in survival. No perimeter making except the top of the fortress. And you don't have to find a fortress in the middle of a Soul Sand Vally or a Warped Forest to make it work. Just one where the perimeter overlaps one of these. You don't need Wither roses to make it work (Why build a wither skeleton farm if you already have a ton of wither roses?) But you can always upgrade with wither roses later, making the farm more efficient.
DOWNSIDE: Requires 2 turtle eggs and 1 Piglin. The farm functions best if you find a fortress partly in or close to a Soul Sand Valley or a Warped Forest, so the lower mob spawns in these areas will help the rates of the farm.
