Post Chapter 3 is extremely basic with no explanation needed. However, remember that we are routing this game with the full game run in mind. This means that we could start PC3 with Mario and Thudley already selected to save 4x "2 presses" but then it would add "2 presses" in other segments so it wouldn't actually save anything in the grand scheme of things.
2 Presses:
1 - To open the characters menu
2 - To switch to Mario
3 - To open the pixls menu
4 - To switch to Thudley
5 - To release the fish

-Exiting free fall as Luigi ("1 Button")
Each video is only a segment of the larger run and does not consider individual level high scores. This means that the "2 press" count for the segment may not be the lowest "2 press" count possible if considered in isolation. However, the "2 press" count showcased in the video is the lowest "2 press" count with the full game in mind. This also means that each video should link seamlessly to the next video chronologically (more or less). Because we are looking at the full game, we also count any save prompts that appear after the chapter is over.

You must play single player only, with no assist mode. You also must play with the recommended control scheme. (Two vertical joycons)
Q: What is a C Throw
A: A C Throw is short for Cappy Throw. We count a Cappy Throw every time we throw Cappy at something or have to stay in the air for a Cap Jump.

A: In Mario Odyssey, the jump button is assigned to both A and B, so we use the notation, A/B Presses to account for both buttons at once.

New Boomer Skip, oversights, and an amazing finish!

This video is an improvement from my last video on Chapter 2-1 where I completed the chapter in 19x 2 Presses. You can find the video here: https://youtu.be/L6ce49jSWqI
Since then, three major differences and improvements were made. Firstly, Link the Pringles Man suggested that we can skip the 2 press needed to climb the second step in the mega star room by grabbing the koopa using the first 2 press in the room and using it to bounce over to the second step. At first, I dismissed this idea as I wasnt able to initially grab the koopa. However, I later realized that I can grab the koopa and then made a small route to bounce over to the second step, which saved a 2 press. Secondly, I use a new method of Boomer Skip. This time, I use a shell shock to hit the blue switch pre-maturely to skip the need to get Boomer. This method does take 3x 2 presses as opposed to the 2x 2 presses needed for the LSJ method, however, switching methods ultimately saves more 2 presses in the full game run by allowing us to use the Life Shroom in 2-3. This is why I use the shell shock method even though it adds an additional 2 press (see below). Lastly, I had the idea to skip needing to jump into the star block at the end by using a megabite. The megabite spawns after 3 minutes of idling in the final room. From there, I can lure the megabite underground and quickly reach the surface using a damage boost into the spring. Lastly, I stand under the star block and bounce into it as the megabite raises through the surface.
Chapter 2-1 introduces an interesting mechanic that may not see much use outside of this chapter: the return pipe. I use the return pipe to prevent backtracking through 2 press heavy areas. Here, I avoid needing to platform back through the background by going back to Flipside and re-entering Chapter 2-1. The reason why I dont use the return pipe more often is the 2 press cost. Using the return pipe takes 3x 2 presses which isnt ideal. However, in this situation, the 3x 2 press cost along with the extra 2 press needed to progress back to where I need to outweigh the 7x 2 presses needed to backtrack through the background.
This video features a pixl skip (Boomer in this case). Boomer is one of 5 pixls that are skippable in Super Paper Mario. This is because if we manage to beat the intended chapter without gaining the pixl, the game gives the pixl to you after the chapter is over in a short dialogue sequence.
