Released for the Super Nintendo in 1994, Super Metroid is without a doubt one of the greatest and most influential action/adventure video games to ever grace this earth. Could it possibly be topped?
Eight years later a sequel, Metroid Fusion, was released for the Game Boy Advance, and missed by many hardcore Metroid fans who declined to indulge in handheld gaming. Developed by R&D1, the same team that created the previous games in the franchise, Metroid Fusion continues bounty hunter Samus Arans' exploits throughout space and continues the tradition of space exploration and alien eradication.
Fusion has some mighty big shoes to fill, so how will it fare against the archetype of 2D platforming exploration?
