Namco's Splatterhouse debuted in arcades back in 1988, and Rick Taylor's terrifying ordeal with the Terror Mask quickly became a fan favorite. Four years later, a sequel, Splatterhouse 2, was developed exclusively for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, which spawned yet a third entry into the franchise, Splatterhouse 3; also exclusive to the Genesis. Having only dabbled with these two in the past, I finally sat down with both horror-themed entries and review these two classics during the spookiest time of year: Halloween!
