7/5/09 - A medley of themes from various early Super Mario video games. Having grown up with these games, I've been wanting to record something like this for a long time. The themes (in order of release) are as follows:
1.) Super Mario Bros. for NES - Overworld
2.) Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES - Overworld
3.) Super Mario Land for Game Boy - Overworld 1
4.) Super Mario Bros. 3 for NES - Overworld 1
5.) Super Mario Bros. 3 for NES - Overworld 2
6.) Super Mario World for SNES - Overworld 1
It took a few takes to get this one right and I'm not totally satisfied with this last take, but since this is just for fun I left it as is. And this is the first video that I've recorded using my iSight + iMovie instead of my usual digital camera; the video quality and framerate is worse but the sound is much better, so I'll probably be using this method from now on. Hope you enjoy! :)
I learned these themes entirely by ear, so I do not have any sheet music.
(music for SMB, SMB2, SMB3, and SMW composed by Koji Kondo; music for SML composed by Hirokazu Tanaka)
