Chapter 2-4 is a fairly standard chapter in terms of interesting strategies. Most of the level features normal platforming with a few clever uses of Mimi herself to cut down on the 2 presses. The main feature in this video is the Atomic Boo section. Here, I level up at the perfect time to get refill our health to just barely damage boost up the staircase in 0x 2 presses. I show the extra score that I collect in 1-4 to make this possible. I level up to 3 which gives me 15 HP and 2 attack. To climb the staircase in 0x 2 presses, I need 14 HP, just barely keeping Mario alive at 1 HP for the rest of the chapter. From there, the rest of the chapter is straight forward, switching to Boomer for the Mimi fight as I need him for Post Chapter 2 anyways (see below for the full game explanation).

This is the Super Paper Mario: 2 Button Challenge. The goal of the challenge is to beat Super Paper Mario while pressing the 2 button as few times as possible. Beating Super Paper Mario requires Mario and the other characters to reach the end credits. Any method is allowed.
What does the 2 button do?
The 2 button does all of the following:
-Jump
-Swim
-Answer a multiple-choice prompt
-Open the quick menu
-Select any item in a menu
-Enter passwords
Things that look like they need the 2 button but can be accomplished with other buttons:
-Progress through dialogue (1 Button)
-Selecting objects with Tippi (A Button)
-Ground pounding with Thudley (1 Button)
-Exiting free fall as Luigi (1 Button)
Each video is only a segment of the larger run and does not consider individual level high scores. This means that the 2 press count for the segment may not be the lowest 2 press count possible if considered in isolation. However, the 2 press count showcased in the video is the lowest 2 press count with the full game in mind. This also means that each video should link seamlessly to the next video chronologically (more or less). Because we are looking at the full game, we also count any save prompts that appear after the chapter is over.

Hello! And welcome to the Super Mario 3D World Minimal Jump Challenge! This is very similar to pannenkoeks Super Mario 64 A Button Challenge in which he goes through the game pressing the A button as few times as possible. The only difference is that the A button can be held, and A presses to advance menu options or entering levels are not counted. 60x 2 Presses, a small price to pay for Luigi.
Video Notes:
Underwhere is a unique segment as Mario is stripped from his pixls and from Peach and Bowser. Therefore, we are very limited when it comes to movement options. Luckily for us, Marios items do carry over to this segment so I have some room to work with.
The main platforming room can be navigated surprisingly well with only one jump to cross the largest pit in the room. A huge issue comes from the puzzle segment of this chapter, the underwater switch puzzle. But I can avoid needing to swim by using LSJs to progress without needing the water raised.
This segment gives us Luigi, which you may think is a good thing but its actually more troublesome as we then need to switch between Mario and Luigi to progress through the game; with each switch costing 2x 2 presses.
Most unfortunate is the swimming to get out of the river. There currently isnt a clean way to leave the river without swimming a handful of times, but by using a Poison Shroom to cancel Luigis super jump, I can cut out several swim inputs. I also use a Life Shroom to prevent Luigi from dying from the Poison Shroom.

A vertical puzzle level. What shenanigans will we pull this time?

Being a strictly vertical level, 3-3 is a huge obstacle for the 2BC. Here, we see another trick with Thudley, Thudely Jumps, or TJs. Canceling Thudleys ground pound in the air allows 1 frame where Mario can flip midair, allowing Mario to jump midair. Chaining TJs allows for infinite height which is used here to skip certain puzzles in the tree. Other than abusing TJs, there isnt much in this level thats out of the ordinary.

Leeched A/B Press: A Press #3 of Forever Onward, Captain Toad!
The Super Mario Odyssey A/B Button Challenge (Low-Cappy) is where we go through the game while pressing A or B as few times as possible. The Low-Cappy addition also limits the number of times we can throw Cappy. Note that A/B Presses are prioritized, meaning we will throw Cappy 100 times to save 1 A/B Presses, but not press A/B 100 times to save one Cappy Throw.
Other Rules:
You must play single player only, with no assist mode. You also must play with the recommended control scheme. (Two vertical joycons)
Q: What is a C Throw
A: A C Throw is short for Cappy Throw. We count a Cappy Throw every time we throw Cappy at something or have to stay in the air for a Cap Jump.
Q: Why A/B Presses?
A: In Mario Odyssey, the jump button is assigned to both A and B, so we use the notation, A/B Presses to account for both buttons at once.
Q: Are there half a presses in this game xdxd
A: Yeah, like Mario 64, a half a press is when you hold A from a previous a press that has not been shown in the video. There are various uses for a half a press that will be demonstrated later.
Q: What does From: mean?
A: Because in Odyssey you dont leave the level when you collect a Power Moon, each video will start where the previous video ended (or the previous video in the route). To avoid confusion, I always put the starting location or moon in the description.")
