Saw this one in Twitter and gave it a try.
This is a collection off 4 games it seems, SMB, Lost Levels, All night Nippon and SMB Special made by Hudson which is cool.
SMB is not my favorite from the NES games, none of the ones in here is, I can play them but I never really have the urge to play them, I played this one to see what it was about, It's Super Mario Bros.
I don't consider myself an expert on this one, the physics were always weird to me, and here they are... not the same but close enough, I don't really know if they are the same or not tho. I also was never consistent in doing the "Infinite Lives trick" I'm not afraid to admit, I was more of a SMW/SMB3 guy.
Aesthetically this uses the Mario Maker assets and music with some originals thrown in there. the game is also customizable, I didn't show the menus but I played on OG NES settings, No additional checkpoints, classic Hud, that stuff.
This also has achievements if you are into that, I'm not doing them despite being somewhat of a cheevo guy in some games, and on the same note, I don't know If I would play the rest of the games in the collection, I don't think I'm missing on much
This is a cool project all things considered, highly customizable, you can add fan stuff, you can make the games easier, it's a good project, With all that said, maybe you can take more out of it than me, I'm not really a big fan of the NES era stuff, but you may be

Ah Magical Quest 3, a game I never played from this lineup, the ones I played were Magical Quest and The Great Circus Mystery, Magical Quest 3 is a game I knew existed but never tried out until now.
Magical Quest 3 is a weird game, it has unique differences between Mickey and Donald, and honestly, I prefer Donalds arsenal, Mickey is regarded as the best one to use and, no, quite frankly I think he sucks in this game, his armor is bad in the water, the punching glove can be useful but it kinda sucks, the climbing gear is the same between the two, and the magic, while being faster with mickey I prefer Donald, the armor with him is far better, his hammer may not be 4 directions but its very useful with some bosses, and his shield is superior specially against the world 4 boss, Mickey just takes damage EVEN WHEN I USE THE FUCKING SHIELD
As for the game itself, its disappointing, I played the three Magical games in a row and... yeah this one leaves a lot to be desired, its the easiest of the three, the bosses are far dumb than Magical Quest 2, and the final boss is underwhelming compared to Magical 2, and specially, Magical 1, this one is just pathetic man, and the music is just not as good as MQ1, not even to MQ2, snow valley is the only highlight in this game, and maybe the boss theme which is just a remix of the final boss from MQ1
Set difficulty is low, with 2 annoyances, first, the stage 5 with no damage, this one requires practice as the bubbles are very strategically apart from one another, and its impossible in hard mode, or at least I could not get it. Second, the Deathless run, straightforward, beat the game without losing a single live, as soon as you lose one live, you need to restart the entire game, no shortcuts, no tricks, nothing
Overall this game as I said, personally is underwhelming, I expected a bit more out of it, maybe thats my fault

This stage sucks
So romancing Mario, I played this 3 years ago, it has a set on RA and went to do it, and then remembered the hack had a level that is very dumb and hard, the back door, not sure why this one is a Win Condition when the bowser fight exists but what do I know.
Despite the video being 18 minutes, it actually took me 3 hours more or less since last night I was in a call with friends
This level as I said its terrible, narrow corridors, tight jumps, firebars strategically placed in the most awkward places to fuck you over, no checkpoints no power ups but one at the start, an autoscroller with a lot of shit going on, its a trial and error stage, one you have to grind, Im not a an of this level, I even said it in the recording of 3 years ago, but hey, I did it")
