August 2023 is a special month, providing with not just one but two Super Moons the second of which a Blue moon. A moon is considered a blue moon when it’s the second full moon in a cycle and this one is considered a #superbluemoon due to the Moons proximity to the earth.
Sadly its blue by name and not by nature as the moon while appearing larger in the sky especially during moonrise and moonset, is just its regular old white/yellow.
The Nikon #p1000 with its massive #zoom lens is the perfect camera for capturing a moon rise and taking a great close up look at the the Moon while at its closest proximity to earth. We cover both in this special mid week edition Mega zoom video.
It’s the last Super Blue Moon for a decade and a bit (2037) so I hope you all enjoy.
