► ABOUT
Sunhallow is a Thrash Metal band founded by Nikki Soliz in 2024. During the band's initial phase, Alvin N, Gonthrash, and Dinko joined to record the first demos and the project's live debut. For a considerable period of time, the band could not find a permanent vocalist until Vale Rodriguez joined in 2025, completing the lineup. Sunhallow is born from the power and aggression of metal, combining them with reflections on spirituality, death, the human condition, the illusions of the modern world, and the inner power that resides within each person. The name SunHallow means "to sanctify the Sun": a symbol of life, consciousness, vitality, truth, clarity, and renewal. A force that illuminates both our virtues and our shadows, reminding us of the potential we carry within and the path to a deeper understanding of ourselves. Through powerful riffs, memorable melodies, and lyrics laden with symbolism, the band navigates between the light and darkness of the human experience. At times, they act as an inspirational voice that propels growth; at others, as a jester who exposes our contradictions, weaknesses, and the fragility of our desires. SunHallow seeks to create music that challenges, questions, and transforms.
IMMATERIAL is SunHallow's first full-length album.
Across eleven tracks, the album explores spiritual independence, the questioning of imposed beliefs, and the search for an identity that doesn't depend on systems, rewards, or approval. Several of the lyrics also criticize the constant addiction to dopamine, the need for validation, and the idea of doing good solely for a reward, rather than out of conviction or essence. These are concepts we recognize in society and within ourselves, and they form the core of this work.
The band's influences are: Fallen Angel (Sweden), Testament, Forbidden, Znöwhite, Exodus, Slammer, Flotsam and Jetsam, Cyclone Temple, Mortal Sin, Stone, Airdash, Death Angel, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Turnstile, Castle Rat, etc...
