Shoegaze/Electronica live performance on the Elektron Digitakt and Model Cycles with some effects from the Line 6 Helix.
In this track I sampled my guitar and bass - playing single notes and sequencing those to different pitches on the Digitakt for the bass line and the twinkly, arpeggiated melodies. The vocals were from a long sample of spoken phrases from which I took small slices and tuned them on different steps to create a melody. In the middle 8 I used re-trig to extend the length of the melodic notes. The distorted swirly guitar chord sound is actually a resampled section of one of my other tracks with lots of bit reduction to create the fuzz effect. The Digitakt is also doing most of the beats using one shot samples.
The Model:Cycles is taking care of the pad sound using 2 tracks of the Chord machine - panned, with the chord inversions being slowly modulated by the LFO at slightly different speeds to give some spread. The Cycles is also adding an additional hi-hat.
Thanks for watching :)
